Eva Longoria dishes on ‘fun’ fitness secret

Might as well jump! Eva Longoria Bastón says that her favorite workout is putting a spring in her step. 

While on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the «Desperate Housewives» alum said she sculpts her enviable body by jumping regularly on a trampoline.

«It’s so fun, y’all! And it’s good on my knees because I’m an old b****,» she joked. «I used to run. I can’t run anymore.»

Eva got into the fitness regimen after a friend suggested it. In the beginning, she was only able to jump for a few minutes before tiring herself out. Now she does it regularly for an hour.   

Praising the activity often associated with kids or gymnasts, she said, «It’s so good for you. It’s really good on my body»

Ellen then posted a photo of Eva sporting a bikini. 

«That’s what trampoline does,» joking that she only looks good in the images when she’s laying down and her stomach is flat. In other words, it’s all about the angles.

«That’s when you take the photo,» she said. «Let me take those pictures now before this all goes to s***.»

When it comes to her diet, Eva largely eats healthy, and she revealed that her 3-year-old son, Santiago Enrique, loves cooking with her. She’s even somewhat tricked him into making healthy food.

«I don’t care if he throws flour and breaks eggs. He’s covered our dog in flour,» she said. «When he makes it. He eats it. Like, he has an interest in it, so it’s worked out well…He helps me make [homemade] pasta or tortillas. It’s so fun for him, because he gets in there and stuff.

«He’s obsessed with cupcakes, so I make bran muffins but I put them in a cupcake paper,» she continued. «And then popsicles, same thing. It’s like a green smoothie that I freeze. Once he learns what a popsicle is, [that’ll change].»
