«Vanderpump Rules» star Katie Maloney revealed that she had an abortion 10 years ago as her relationship with now-husband Tom Schwartz was relatively new.

The reveal came to be after the reality TV star prepared to go to a fertility clinic on the newest episode of the Bravo show. A registration form asked if she had been pregnant before.
«I knew I wanted to have kids. But I just knew that was not the time in my life,» she said of the moment in her life. «And now, it’s something that we are ready for when it happens.»

Terminating the pregnancy, she maintains, was «the best decision at the time,» especially given that her relationship with Tom had an uncertain future back then.
«I think we would have broke [sic] up and [been] like, ‘This is too much,'» Tom said. «But we would have been good parents.»
Katie added, «Tom and I’d been together for a year, and it was not pretty. Like, we fought all the time. I wanted it to work out, but I was just like if anything, he’s going to leave and I’m going to be a single mom. Everyone, every woman, every person should be able to decide what’s best for them.»
While Tom supports his wife, he insists he would have «manned up» had she wanted to keep the baby.
