Jamie Lynn Spears claims in her upcoming book that her famous older sister wasn’t the only one controlled by their parents.
In «Things I Should Have Said,» Jamie insists that her parents, Jamie Spears and Lynn Spears, pushed her to get an abortion in 2007 after she told them she was pregnant at 16 years old. She even says her phone was taken away so that she wouldn’t have communication with anyone outside of select family members and her immediate circle.

Her team, which included her parents, wanted to keep her pregnancy hush hush, she said in excerpts of the book, which were obtained by TMZ.
Recalling one night, she said her team «… came to my room trying to convince me that having a baby at this point in my life was a terrible idea … ‘It will kill your career. You are just too young. You don’t know what you’re doing. There are pills you can take. We can help you take care of this problem … I know a doctor.'» Added the singer-actress, «everyone around me just wanted to make this ‘issue’ disappear.»
«Everyone was certain that termination would be the best course of action,» she wrote.
The family was so determined to keep the pregnancy news bottled up that Jamie Lynn wasn’t even allowed to tell sister Britney Spears, the «Zoey 101» star claims.
«I needed her more than ever and she wasn’t able to help me in my most vulnerable time. … To this day, the hurt of not being able to tell my sister myself still lingers,» Jamie Lynn said.
After welcoming baby Maddie, who’s now 13, Jamie Lynn gave exclusive pictures to OK! Magazine. Before the magazine was published, Jamie Lynn and her mom headed to a cabin in Connecticut — where they even spent Thanksgiving — to hide out.
«Momma wore her disappointment like her favorite jacket,» Jamie Lynn wrote.
